The International Committee is composed of 5 committee members as  
well as the SHI International Officer. Here are some examples of the International  

Committee's work:

• Welcoming international students to the University of Iceland and informing them on their student rights as well as giving advice on where they can seek help or further information.
• Overseeing and managing the contact person system, which gives Icelandic and international students a chance to meet and get to know each other. 
• Forming an international SHI policy and representing Icelandic students at foreign student conferences and meetings with representatives from international student body movements where common student right issues are addressed.
• Following how the University is implementing international commitments such as the Bologna process.
