Frá og með 13. október 2008 hafa nýjar reglur tekið gildi um hi-nem póstlistann sem
Stúdentaráð Háskóla Íslands hefur umsjón með og ber ábyrgð á.
1. Eingöngu bein skilaboð frá SHÍ skal senda út á hi-nem póstlistann og áskilur ráðið sér þann rétt að hafna öllum þeim skeytum sem það telur ekki eiga erindi til allra stúdenta við HÍ. Í staðinn beinir ráðið auglýsingum og skilaboðum aðila á heimasíðu Stúdentaráðs, www.student.is.
2. Texti skeytanna skal vera á ensku auk íslensku. Öll önnur tungumál eru vel þegin, en þá sem viðbót við þau fyrrnefndu.

HI-nem mailing list
From 13th of October 2008 new rules have been set by the Student Council's board regarding the hi-nem mailing list which the council is responsible for.
1.Direct message from the Student Council will be the only e-mails sent out and the council will deny every e-mails that does not have direct interest to all students within the University. Instead of the mailing list, the council points out the opportunity of using the Student Council's webpage, www.student.is
2.The announcements have to be written in Icelandic and in English.
